Christmas Eve 2008 Photo's

Christmas Eve is always spent at Nana & Papa's. Since I was young, my family has opened our presents on Christmas Eve. My dad always had to work on Christmas so rather than wait until late Christmas Day, we would open our gifts on Christmas Eve. I love this tradition now because we can spend a relaxing Christmas Eve with my parents and brother's family and then Christmas morning is at our home for Christmas as a family.

When I look at these photo's it amazes me at how big the girls are getting. It seems like yesterday that they were wearing the red and white Old Navy pajamas with binkies in Madison and Savanah's cute little mouths. How time flies!

Each Christmas Eve, we always wrap up the night, with the girls in their pajamas, and head to church for a 10:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Service. I love this tradition too! The kids enjoy going to the service and holding their candles and I love singing the Christmas carols and reflecting on the importance of the evening. I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas season!

Some of our December 2008 Pictures

Here are some of our December photos. I'll post our Christmas Eve & Christmas Day photo's next.

The snow we got in December was so pretty and the kids loved it! I loved seeing the house and trees covered in the white blanket and the streets were so bright at night. The kids tried making a snow fort but tired of that. They made one very tall snowman who stood guard in our front yard. I think he fell asleep though because someone drove into the middle of our front yard and knocked him flat on his back. Poor guy! The girls were really upset. Jack and Katelynn investigated the crime scene. Katelynn was determined to figure out what make of car left it's tracks in our yard.

Eventually they tired of the snow though and I needed Christmas to come so they would have something else to do with their time. I knew what was under that tree and I knew they would love it! More of that later though...

November 2008 Pictures

Jack got out of the hospital on November 10th and we tried to get caught up on life and all the things that were put on hold. I'm so thankful he is well!

Mom and I did our first craft show! I don't know how we pulled everything together. I brought stuff with me to the hospital to work on. It helped pass away the time and keep my mind on other things.

Several of the photo's were taken by the kids and are blurry. They remind me of how life was just a blur then for us! Life is so short and goes by so quickly. Take some time to tell those around you how much you love them. You never know what tomorrow holds!
