New Kitchen Floor!
Had to share our new floor that we had put in on Thursday. We still need to get it all put back together and have some more work done on the back door but we love it! It looks like a totally different room now. Now all I have to do is decide on a paint color! Got any suggestions? Wanted to do a yellow like we had in the old kitchen but now I'm leaning toward a golden orange color. Kind of like a Chai Tea, Nutmeg, or fall orange colors... Take care!

i LOVE IT!!! i would agree with you that orange would look great in there. i did love your yellow before, but i think orange would really look good too. and also, red/orange makes people hungry...great for any kitchen.
Thanks for your thoughts. My only dilema is the cabinets have a tan/orange hue so I have to be careful with that. I picked out a red/orange color too but Jack's concern is that it will make it too small in there. 4 more weeks until you're here!
LOVE THE NEW FLOOR! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT IN PERSON AND GET MY BARE TOESIES ON IT! IT IS VERY, VERY SIMILAR TO THE OWEN'S FLOORING!
BTW - I'm totally for the Orange hues. I think that would look wonderful. Nutmeg sounds like the perfect color for a kitchen!!! Much better than - Seattle Red!
Also - what's with the Christmas music on your blog. You are always telling me that I start listening to Christmas music too soon. It's only May!!!! What's up with that? %^}

The floor looks wonderful! It is very similar colors to our kitchen floor. I have reds (more like cranberry) in my kitchen. I think I would vote for the nutmeg color.
Kim - Gonna have to have you over again without all the dilema's so you can look at my colors and tell me what ya think!
Keith - Wine? I think it's time to make some Kahlua and Peppermint Schnapps! Doesn't that sound good!
JA - Did the red make the kitchen feel too small? I've always wanted a red kitchen but it's so daring! I think I'd have to convince Jack too. Just love those warm colors though!
